What is Scribe?

What is Scribe knowledge management?

Scribe is your team’s library of knowledge. We’ve built Scribe to be the easiest way to keep track of lessons learned, decisions made, and plans for the future. At the center of Scribe is the writing experience, and that means we’ve made it incredibly simple to create or edit a document - you just start writing. We also support read-only access in our granular access management (even though it’s powerful, it’s super simple to manage).

Once you’ve created a document though, you need to be able to find it. And even more importantly - the rest of your team needs to be able to find it (without knowing whether it exists). For that reason, we’ve dedicated ourselves to having a world-class search and categorization system. Unlike other tools, we let you store your document in multiple places using labels instead of folders (like Gmail). And our search is designed to help you find exactly what you're looking for without the creator having to do anything special.

Making Scribe easy to use for your team is one thing, but we also want it to be easy to setup and administrate for team owners like you. For that reason, our goal is to have even the most customised account up and running in under 5 minutes!

A lot of people ask why I started Scribe and to be honest, I just wanted it for myself. I’ve always been a big believer in knowledge sharing and having well documented systems and processes. But in my whole career…

I’ve never a found a knowledge management tool that I didn’t hate using.

Every tool I’ve used had something important missing, but I’ll get back to that in a minute... I’ve been wishing someone would do this for years, but I’ve finally given up and decided to sell off my other projects and build it myself!
